oh hi
or you may herniate a disc - if you were like me going ATG with a butt wink so exaggerated it was like your back bum was trying to touch your front bum

After about 3 years of being questioned covertly and overtly about my body and strength being unnatural, or that I am taking more testosterone than prescribed, I wrote this on my facebook status today:
Every so often an acquaintance, family member, or another trans guy insinuates or flat out assumes that I am using steroids and that is the reason why I look the way I do, and am able to lift the amount of weight I do. I find this offensive and this is why: First of all, I find it sad that folks have so little expectations of the human body that it would be inconceivable that a person who strength trains 4-6 days a week for 4 years (that’s 1,872 hours of work) could never see the results of their labour. Next, I take less than the full dose of testosterone for hormone therapy that is normally prescribed for a female-to-male medical transition. I take what my doctor prescribes that keeps my testosterone level at a normal, healthy level for males in my age group. I am proud of what I have been able to accomplish with my physique and with my strength gains over the years. But what most people don’t realize, is that compared to other males my age with the same level of training and dedication to strength sports, I am weak as shit! I take creatine, all kinds of food, and train my ass off, and am naturally athletic. I am transgender and I lift weights. I am not on steroids. Know the difference. :P
… And what is so frustrating is that the same family members who used to compliment me for my athletic abilities as a teenage girl, now say that the amount of weight I can lift, and what I do with my body is unnatural.
Thought this would also be important to share on here. This has been weighing heavily on my mind for a couple years.
I was camping all weekend. I took 3 days off lifting and i drank alot of beer and didnt sleep much.
Bench pressed today and had 2 rep PRs!! Hit 215 for 2 paused reps. Then 185 for 10 touch and go. In january i was struggling to get 5 for 185 and 205 was all i could manage unpaused

285
Really bad angle. just got to parallel. But overall happy with how it felt going up. currently in the rack doing sets of 3 with 255
900lb total im comin for u!!!!
375. def felt heavy and my legs shook meaning i think ive finally learned how to engage my lower body and not just pull with my back. I also totally pissed myself. first time that ever happened hahahah
220. shitty angle and my butt did come off bench a bit but the important thing is it went up!!!
Squatted 275 for 3 singles during my team training sessions today. They all said I should open with 275 but to be honest I would feel safer opening with 260. But we’ll see what the next month of training brings leading up to june 15. Maybe I’ll squat closer to 300 lbs afterall. :)
